  • Kaiser new-site employee parking
    • Kaiser bought the building on the SW corner of Foothill and Sierra Madre Villa and is moving medical offices into the building.
    • They got permits to have valet parking into tandem spots at those times.  They also have the spaces in a small lot next to the BMW repair shop on the north side of Foothill.  That technically fulfilled the city required number of spaces for the amount of building they will initially be occupying.
    • But not even Kaiser believes that is sufficient for such busy times as flu season.
    • We were told they also made arrangements to use some Space Bank parking.  Don’t know if that is still valid given that place is reportedly being sold for redevelopment.
    • Latest we heard through rumor is that Kaiser did ask MTA about using Gold Line parking structure spaces but that was too expensive so they have reportedly made arrangements with a church 1 1/4 miles away to bus employees to the new building.
